We have been thinking about how to rethink database administration and how to address the shortage of skilled workers and the information needs of young DBAs at Barmenia using AI. The presentation will introduce the development of the AI approach in event management. A self-developed application for DBAs has emerged, which provides both interactive and central support for event reporting. The presentation will cover the development, use, and planned further development in the form of a best practice approach.
Ansible for Oracle DBAs – Janis Ax (ORDIX AG)
In this presentation, Oracle DBAs will learn how Ansible can revolutionize the management and automation of Oracle databases. We will practically explore how routine tasks like installations, patching, or backup and recovery processes can be efficiently standardized with Ansible. Additionally, we will show how the use of playbooks and modules ensures repeatable and error-free workflows. Special attention will be given to best practices, security aspects, and integrating Oracle-specific requirements into Ansible. The presentation is aimed at DBAs who want to modernize their processes and gain more time for strategic tasks.
