On May 22, 2025, it finally happened: the APEX Frankfurt Meetup is back – and now with fresh momentum as part of ora2know – The German Oracle Database Community. Hosted at Syntegris in Neu-Isenburg, the community gathered for an evening packed with valuable insights, engaging talks, and great conversations.
The agenda delivered:
- Jannis Beck shared tips and tricks for using SQL Developer in VS Code.
- Robert Marz gave an introduction to advanced API development with ORDS.
- Sven Weller kicked off the discussion on Green IT from a developer’s perspective with a 15-minute teaser that sparked open dialogue over drinks.
After the presentations, we headed to a nearby Thai restaurant where the evening wound down in a relaxed setting. The Green IT topic, in particular, sparked deeper conversations — no slides needed, just thoughtful discussion and shared ideas.
Bottom line: A strong relaunch for the APEX Frankfurt Meetup, with plenty of input and even more appetite for future gatherings. And that’s the plan: we’re aiming to meet up more regularly. Next time, we’ll be diving into a recap of the ODTUG KScope Conference.
