“Seamlessly” — that could well serve as the motto of this event. Maria Colgan, Vice President of Product Management for AI and mission-critical data in the Oracle database team, used the word on multiple occasions and impressed with her expertise and the eloquent way in which she presented the innovations of the Oracle AI World.
The attendees were captivated from the very first moment and, even after what Michael Trumpler called a “pressure refueling”, remained engaged right to the end, listening to the speakers and actively participating. That’s what makes it enjoyable as a speaker and organizer.
After the theoretical introduction to the AI functionalities in the new “Oracle AI Database 26ai”, Johannes Michler (Oracle ACE Director) showed us the practical benefits that can be derived from them. Among other things, he presented a remarkable example of using Oracle 26ai Free as a “Natural Language SQL” backend to access an Oracle 19c E-Business database. The audience was surprised by what is already possible today, even though Oracle 26 on premises is still keeping everyone waiting.
Martin Klier (Oracle ACE Director) brought a piece of history to his MAA presentation: his very first high availability architecture for Oracle from 2005 — just as valuable today as it was back then.
